Victoria Carnes Obituary

CARNES , Victoria (Seeden)
Victoria June Carnes, 59, passed away suddenly on March 4, 2007 at her home in Los Angeles. Born Sept. 2, 1947 at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles to Elaine and Lester Seeden, Vicki was an associate director of El Nido Family Centers in Mission Hills. Vicki attended Washington Elementary School, Hosler Junior High School and Lynwood High School where she graduated with honors in 1965.
She earned her bachelor's degree in English at California State University, Long Beach and later her master's degree and Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Southern California.
Vicki and her husband Earl loved to travel, and their trips took them to various locales, including Africa, China, India, South America and numerous countries in the Mideast. Vicki suffered from polycystic kidney disease for many years, but it did not stop her from her devotion to helping children and families in need at El Nido Family Center.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Earl; a brother, Curt; stepson, Doug; stepdaughter, Ginger; and niece, Kristal.
A celebration of Vicki's life is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 26 at the Center at Cathedral Plaza, 555 W. Temple St., Los Angeles 90012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation or to Heifer International.
