Wesley Todd Bender

August 2, 1970 - March 5, 2018 Wesley Bender, 47, was born August 2, 1970 and passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018. Wesley was born in Van Nuys, CA, and spent most of his life in Burbank, CA, where he grew up. He attended public schools in Burbank, graduating from John Burroughs High School. In high school he developed his football skills which continued on at Glendale Community College and the University of Southern California. After college he went on to play in the NFL. He spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles and Oakland Raiders; finishing with the New Orleans Saints. After football Wesley modified off road trucks. Later he was a sales representative in the concrete business for ten years. Most recently he worked alongside his brother in their dental instrument distributing business. Wesley is survived by his parents Dwain and Vicki Bender, his brother Brad (Valerie) Bender and his niece Charlee Rae Bender, several uncles, aunts, cousins, grandmother Mary Hill of Burbank and numerous friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Old North Church, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on April 28, 2018 at 12:00 noon. A reception will follow.
