William Broka Obituary

Born August 26, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio; died November 28, 2013, in Long Beach. William Broka, born to Marie Emma (Carrier) and William Henry Broka, grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Case Western Reserve University. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He was married to Gene McLaughlin in 1954 until her death in 1993. He worked primarily in sales and was owner/operator of Sierra Specialty, an advertising specialties company located in Chatsworth. An accomplished painter, he enjoyed classical music, history, travel, and the daily crossword puzzle. He is survived by a son, Chris Broka, of Las Vegas; and a daughter, Barbara Siegemund-Broka, and two grandsons, Austin Siegemund-Broka and Isaac Siegemund-Broka, of Manhattan Beach.
