The fires that ravaged Pacific Pallisades caused me to wonder about Bill. We lost touch the last two years. He was my boss, my mentor and friend from my earliest days after grad school in 1976. Bill gave me opportunities at Rockwell and later at ECA. He guided me through early days in corporate America and even protected me from the spontaneous wrath of Dr. Metcalf a couple of times at ECA. I recount to my grandchildren stories of Bill, his wisdom, humor and grace under fire.

William and Leti Eisner was a neighbor of ours on Beacon Hill in Boston in the 1990s. My wife Carol (deceased in 2018) and I loved Bill's wry sense of humor. We cherished our brief visit with them in LA in the early 2000s when they took us to their Club in downtown LA. It was a delightful evening. Leti, I send my most sincere condolences. Allan Hodges

To my dearest brother In law- remember all the wonderful jokes and laughs we shared? The January trips Fio and I took to see you and Leti, the summer trips with the 6 of us (Sozzis too)... I couldn´t have asked for a better family member- thank you for multiple decades of friendship. The last time we spoke you paused and said Paolo I love you. Well you know I love you!

From the Sozzis- we have such cherished memories- especially of those annual summer trips taken with the 3 sisters and their husbands. We laughed so much, there was so much affection, love him so much. 70 plus years of memories..

Zio William was my go to weekend call for a warm, loving, cultured conversation about everything under the sun: family news, movies, books, culture, hopes, work.... Laughs about everyday life, politics, whatever. He always made me feel loved. We, with Zia Leti, always looked forward to seeing each other in LA or NYC (and once even in Italy for their 50th wedding anniversary). His voice, spirit and love lives in my heart. I will miss him forever. My
Amazing uncle.

Bil and I were in a Toastmasters group of 25 members every Thursday morning at the Jonathan Club. Everyone checked the schedule to see when Bill was going to be a speaker because they didn´t want to miss it. He was eloquent, smart, and funny.
We all loved him.
