William (born Wolf Neuman) died peacefully in his home in Beverly Hills at age 93. He was born January 26th, 1918 in Saskatchewan, Canada. He was predeceased by his parents Manase and Laura (Schwartz) Newman, and brother Alec Newman. He moved to Los Angeles in 1921. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rozann, son Philip and daughter Laura. Bill graduated from UCLA in 1939 with Phi Beta Kappa Junior year honors. He served in WWII as a Japanese Language Officer for the U.S. Navy. He was President of Newman Importing Company, an outstanding tennis player, and past president of Beverly Hills Tennis Club.

Services Thursday 11am November 17 at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks, Hollywood Hills, (800)-600-0076.
