LAURINBURG — Ms. Catherine Underwood, 64, died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
She is survived by two daughters Kianga Briggs and Angela Underwood both of Laurinburg; six sisters Johnnie Mae Mason, Wallenia Underwood, Rosa Lee Underwood, Mary Lee Berlin, Elise Underwood, and Hazel Pace all of Laurinburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 24 at 12 p.m. at Bright Hopewell Baptist Church in Laurinburg with the Rev. Garland Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Laurinburg.
McPhatter Funeral Home of Laurel Hill is serving the family.
