MCCOLL, S.C. — Lawrence Everette Quick, age 67 of McColl, passed away on April 19, 2015.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Leitch Creek Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
Lawrence was born Jan. 30, 1948 in Marlboro County, son of the late Jack and Janie Bell Quick. He worked in waste management, enjoyed drag racing, watching wrestling and playing cards. He served as a member of Leitch Creek Baptist Church. Lawrence was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather that will be truly missed.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Miller Quick of the home; sons Lee Quick, Richard "Buck" Quick, Mike Miller and Dewayne Quick, all of McColl, South Carolina, Daniel Boone Locklear of Clio, South Carolina, Ben Junior Quick of Laurinburg; daughters, PJ Purham of Laurel Hill, Becky Ann Miller Chavis of Raeford, Destinee Sweatt of McColl, South Carolina; sisters Josephine Annett Owens and Shirley Locklear, both of McColl, South Carolina, Gracie Grooms of Clio, South Carolina, Martha Quick of Frankfort, Kentucky; 21 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Leitch Creek Baptist Church in Maxton.
