Ora Bowyer Obituary

LAURINBURG — Ora Lea Bowyer , 88, went home to Jesus on Dec. 29, 2013.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Hillside Memorial Park.

Ora Lea is survived by her sons Richard W. Bowyer and wife Suzanne Blair-Bowyer, David L. Bowyer, and Oscar Len Bowyer and wife Christine Bowyer, daughter Sheree Bowyer and husband Charlie Williams, brother Naurbon Perry, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special friend Guy Lackey.

She is preceded in death by her husband Oscar Bowyer and daughter Marie Bowyer.

Ora Lea was born on Feb. 12, 1925 in Loranger, La. She is the daughter of the late Lemuel Lee Perry and Della Joiner Perry.

Ora Lea often said "I dreamed about Oscar last night and he's building us a house in heaven."

Please join the family for fellowship after the service. The location will be announced at that time.

McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.

I am so sorry to hear. I loved Mrs. Bowyer. She was my Girls Auxiliary leader at N. Lbg. Baptist Church when I was a young girl and has always been one of my favorite memories as a young girl. Thoughts and prayers are with the family. Love you all.
