ROCK HILL, S.C. — Tane Watson Byrd, 63, passed away at her home on May 18, 2025.
She was born on May 8, 1962, in Laurinburg, to the late Willie Thomas Watson and Annie Margaret Hyatt Watson. She is survived by her husband, Harry Byrd; son, William Watson Byrd; sister, Shirley (John Thomas) Faircloth; nephew, David Thomas Faircloth; and niece, Jillian (John) Faircloth Holler.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill.
There will be a visitation on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina, 29732

I was honored to be a groomsman at Tane and Harry's wedding.
Tane was truly a spirited loving soul who had the most infectious laugh.
I will continue to keep Tane, Harry, and Will in my deepest thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Tane at Centre Ridge Elementary School. She will be remembered for her kindness and gentle ways with the staff and the children. She greeted everyone with a smile and was always willing to help you. My sympathies to her family and hope your wonderful memories will help get you through this difficult time.
