LAURINBURG — Wallace Brian Bostic, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025 at Morrison Manor, at the age of 66.
A funeral service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Laurinburg, officiated by Rev. Jeanne H. Baucom. The family received friends from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Burial was private.
Born on Feb.13, 1959, in Rutherford County, he is the son of Gay Waters Bostic and the late Bert Stanley Bostic. Throughout his life, Wallace was known for his friendly and thoughtful nature. An Eagle Scout in his youth, Wallace's love for the outdoors was a constant theme in his life and he even built a canoe. Many will remember the joy he found in fishing and hunting. Wallace especially liked to host pig pickings and spending time with friends. He was thoughtful and loved his mother. Wallace enjoyed many years of dedicated service as a land manager for Union Camp Corporation.
Wallace is survived by his mother, Gay Waters Bostic of the home; and his siblings, Karen Ramsey (Rod) of Nashville, NC, Beth B. James of Laurinburg, David Alan Bostic (Linda) of Beaufort, NC, and Sandra B. Brown (Scott) of Cary. Wallace was preceded in death by his father Bert Stanley Bostic.

Gay, I am so sorry for you loss. My brother, Peary Coughenour and sister, Sallie Coughenour Crossley were friends and spoke very highly of him...how kind and caring he was. May he rest in peace.
