Anthony married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Harris on November 7, 1989, at San Bernardino High School, where the couple attended and dated in high school. They were best friends for over thirty-six years. Together they had two sons and one daughter. Anthony was a faithful, loving, fun, husband and father. Tony was an amazing man of God, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. I thank God for the lives he touched and the spirit of giving us all hope for a brighter day!
Love to my family. Change will be uncomfortable, but change is good. Tony got his Wings!

Tony was not just a cousin but a brother and extended father to our kids. I was blessed with the opportunity to know Tony most of my childhood and all of my adult life. Tony lived a full life with purpose and was a blessing to all. I thank God for him for taking time to demonstrate his love for all of us by spending time with us. I learned long ago the best way you can show someone that you love them is by spending time with them. As I reflect back on our childhood and adult life, To God Be The Glory! Tony got his wings and had the best time before he secured his wings with the one and only love of his life, my sister Lisa. I Love You All! Tony did what we all will do someday....He Got His Promotion to the Kingdom of God! I Love You! Twillea

I'm less than one month older than Anthony, and I was struck by the faith-filled, faithful, and in many ways "ordinary" life that was described here....and I'm sitting here rejoicing that HE is rejoicing right now at the Throne of Jesus. He has been faithful to his wife and children. He has been faithful to God the Father and his local church. There's nothing "ordinary" about the ordinary Christian life. I never even knew him, but was blessed by the obituary and wanted to let you know. May the Lord Jesus show you His faithfulness and continual lovingkindness.... Tony will be missed; however he leaves a legacy - as most already know. I have known Tony as a friend for the past 25 years. One legacy, from one small man, is with me. I have the blessed opportunity to lead/support a men's ministry at Sunrise Church in Rialto. Supported and impacted by my friend Tony over the years has given me the strength to push forward with the ministry. Tony did it, by doing it the most effective way and the most long lasting way. By coming to support my ministry and by example. I will miss him, but I must say that his impact has and will continue to positively impact my ministry, thus resulting in positive impacts on multiple lives. Multiply that by the hundreds there yesterday (beyond standing room only - we are talking about standing outside in the rain). The long term and lasting impact by this man and friend is without words to articulate. Thank you Tony. I am sorry, I am disappointed, that I did not let you know about this impact you have had on my life and service of God more often than I did. However, I trust you know now. I just want ALL to know this as well. Thank you Tony and thank you also to Tony's family.

Anthony will be remembered as a good friend to us at Hub. The things I will remember is his humor, coming into mine & Joe's office and hanging out talking about all kinds of things, laughing together, trying to speak German to me (it's my daughter that speaks German..not me I told him). He shared the same birthday as my husband and started at Hub the same year as I did.
God bless you and your family.

Truly great men are not only measured by the lives they lived, but also in the lives of those they touched throughout life's journey. Lisa, Ant, Richard, and Chelsie, you undoubtedly reflect the life, love, and laughter of the great man, "Pretty Tony." While I shall miss him and his living, I shall cherish his love and laughter, which lives in you. Thank you for sharing the love...

It has been my privilege and pleasure to know Rev. Anthony (Tony) Blacksher and his wife as dear friends. Tony and I served on the church Trustee Board together. He was so easy to like and to talk to and had such a wonderful sense of humor. I have only fond memories of him. My prayers are with Lisa and his immediate family and his church family. May God bless and comfort you all.

"Funloving, serious minded, and genuine! That's the "Tony" blacksher I knew. I met Tony on the basketball court. With his sense of humor, infectious smile, and compettive nature, I couldn't help but like him. I'll miss him and look to see him on the other side. Sonny "Love" Belvin (Anaheim, CA

Those who had the privilege of knowing Tony know what a R.E.A.L. Man is. Tony was Relevant; effective and appropriate in every relationship as a husband, father, brother and friend. He was Eternity-minded and lived his life and made decisions with eternity in mind. He was Accountable to his family, church and band of brothers. Most of all, Tony was Loyal to the Lord Jesus, his bride and the call of God to the ministry. We will miss our brother and uncle. The Darrell G. Harris Family of Hampton, Virginia

Anthony (that was how we knew him) was someone who was easy to talk to because he listened and you knew he cared. We are grateful for the (short) time we knew him. May the Lord Jesus, who welcomed Anthony into His kingdom, grant comfort and peace to his family and all those who will miss him until we all meet again in Paradise.

Tony was a man of great faith and character. He touched me personally by being a good friend. Although Tony was a little older than some of the guys in the neighborhood he was always competitive and would challenge us playing basketball. As time went by Tony lost a step or two and we began to teach him a couple of things, although he would never admit it. Tony could talk smack and smile at the same time, you couldn't tell if he was winning or losing! Tony will be greatly missed!

To Lisa, Little Black, Richard, Chelsie
our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all.
