Anthony Solomon Obituary
Anthony (Tony) Michael Solomon was the loving son of Cheryll Barnes and Michael Solomon. He passed away on May 21, 2015. Anthony was born on May 8, 1991 in Long Beach, Ca. He grew up in Lakewood, Ca and attended Bellflower Unified School District. Anthony was a unique and remarkable young man. He made friends everywhere he went with his infectious smile and charismatic personality. He will be remembered and greatly missed by his parents, stepparents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We will have a viewing for him on Friday, June 5th, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Forest Lawn in Cypress, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, Ca 90630. We will celebrate his life on Saturday, June 6th at 2 p.m. at the same location. Please sign the guest book at www.presstelegram.com/obits.

In honor & loving memory of Anthony Michael Solomon
My name is Shelly. My daughter Jonnie Trainor is...was Anthony's girlfriend. Although I have only known Anthony for just less than a year I feel as though I've known him much longer.
At age 13 my daughter Jonnie had this mad crush on a boy named Anthony Solomon. That's all I heard was Anthony, Anthony, & more Anthony. A year went by Jonnie turned 14 one day out of the blue she asked me "mom can I date?" I replied; honey your too young to date and just who do you want to date? She replied; ANTHONY SOLOMON! I asked and how old is this Anthony Solomon? She cracks a half smile and mumbles under her breath 17 almost 18. My immediate response was young lady you have bumped your head if you think I will allow you to date someone 17 almost 18 yrs old when your only 14 yrs of age. I'm pretty certain at this time in their young lives Anthony hadn't even noticed Jonnie in this way. Nothing else was said or done.
During the next five years Anthony & Jonnie had boyfriends & girlfriends of their own they shared some mutual friends & remained friends as well. Jonnie turned 19 one evening she walked thru the front door and said "Mom" Guess who I'm talking to? Well no guessing was involved for me. Hmmm? Anthony Solomon? Anthony it was indeed.
A few days later this handsome young man appeared at our front door with the sweetest most beautiful smile that shined so bright he lit up the house as he entered. As months passed by, I watched my daughter blossom. The love Anthony gave to Jonnie transformed her life in so many ways. I had also grown to adore & love this young man. They would have their little spats her and there, it seemed with each spat their love grew stronger than before. Good times most definitely out weighing the bad. Not only had he captured Jonnies heart he captured her families as well.
Never, Ever could I anticipate nor imagine Anthony tragically taken from all of us who loved him. I imagined Anthony with us chuckling with me or at me as I became old ad gray. For as parents we are not meant to out live our children. I truly believed the future held plans that included Anthony becoming a part of our family as my Son in law. I hope Anthony was aware of how much we adored and loved his sweet soul.
I'm going to miss this bright beautiful young man whom left an imprint on my soul. He may no longer be here with us in the physical world, but his memory will keep him alive forever in my heart. My love, Shell.
