The Rolling Stones were recently here in LA Oct 2021. 32 years ago October 1989 I went to see the Stones play at the LA Coliseum with Bob. Bob had 2 extra tickets so Robbie told him to call me. I got to take my new girlfriend which was cool. Best part of the night(it rained but it was the Stones)was seeing Bob do a little shimmy as the concert went on. Bob was always nice to me growing up. My funnest times playing golf were with Bob, Norm, and of course Robbie, my best friend.

Rob,
So sorry to hear about your Dad. He was my first manager in pro ball with the Expos and was a true gentleman. I actually met you when he brought you out to Calgary. You were very young. May God Bless you and your family.........Dave Barnett.

A true best friend never judges your faults. A true best friend is always there when you need them. A true best friend is there for guidance. On Jan 9th I lost all of those things and my Father. Not a day will go by without me thinking of the times we spent together. Everyone says my father had a great life. When you think of it I'm the one who has had a great life because I had my Father in it. I love you Dad

....So sad to hear of Bob's passing. A great athlete and competitor and most of all, a good man. We had the good fortune of growing up in the heyday of the City of Long Beach's youth sports programming, where we competed against each other, frequently. From Pony League & American Legion baseball, Poly / Wilson football etc. We all knew he would make the big-time, even then. May God bless him for the good work he did in his life and for the family he leaves behind.

Dearest Bob! There is a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes but joy in my heart because I know you are with the Lord.
I met you and sweet Karen with baby Caroline in Pgh, on my street where we all lived. Dear friends forever. You were amazing on earth in every facet. Heaven must have cheered like crazy when you hit the best home run of your existence coming across the home plate of the gates of heaven! Well done, my friend; well done!!

Karen and Family: Legend is a word that is overused, but not with Bob; He truly was a Long Beach and Wilson legend. As a young teacher at Wilson in the early '60s, I first meet you and Bob when he was in the majors. I have treasured his friendship over the years, most recently around golf courses. We have enthusiastically made a donation to Wilson athletics in Bob's name. Our condolences. Ed, Glenda Sewell

Hi Karen...God bless you and your family. When I read about Bob's devotion to Jesus and the less fortunate..I was so touched. Memories flooded my mind. You are so blessed, married all those years and so many children and grandchildren! Hopefully in coming months we might be able to meet for lunch? How I would love that. My prayers are with you.....love Pastor Lois McKoon (nash)

Please feel welcome to attend this celebration for Bob Bailey. The family is honored with all the responses they have received and look forward to thanking everyone in person.
Fans of his baseball career will get to learn about the man who they cheered rounding third on his way to home plate. His efforts to raise money for Children with Cancer and the love he had for his family, country and most importantly his love for Jesus. He was no ordinary man. Humble, Bob kept hidden the extraordinary achievements he had done in his life off the field.
You will be blessed and inspired Saturday. All are welcome!

The only words I have about my husband are,"I praise our Heavenly Father daily for bringing us together in 1958" Looking back over the years it is very obvious that our Lord guided and blest us throughout our life together. Now I hold on to the knowledge that one day we will be together in Heaven for Eternity. What a joyous time that will be!
