Joe, Marge and family. I'm deeply sorry to hear about David's passing. Mom told me about it today. I know your hearts are heavy and the pain of losing another is beyond words. Know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Love, Sue Bayer (Osendorf)

I was so saddened today when I opened up the Long Beach Newspaper. There are so many fond memories of Dave. Even though our families drifted apart when you moved up North, I always felt a special fondness for Dave and the rest of the family, especially through the AFS years. Our condolances are sent to all of you, but I also know Dave is with his brother and our Heavenly Father. If anyone would like to get in touch please e-mail or Facebook,. . All my love. Judy McGill

I never thought I'd be writing this...
My dearest friend Dave gave me a daily 'lift' for two-plus decades at Boeing. He came into our circle of family and friends, and won everyone's love- from summer BBQs to TV football parties; who wouldn't like this guy. I proudly introduced him as my friend, many times asking to excuse him (sarcastically) as being sort of introverted. Dave also shared his life and great family and friends with us.
Memory: I think Dave and I first 'clicked' when I advised him real Seattleites don't carry umbrellas- I think that sort of 'off beat' humor began a friendship, I cannot have been more blessed to have had.
My deepest regrets, sympathy to Donna (my friend), Michael and Dave's family.

OMG...I am so sad about this! I was shocked to read this in the Press telegram, but now I will know about this untimely passing of a friend I never forgot. I went to Jordan with David and we graduated the same year David was a total sweetheart and good friend.
I will always remember how kind and sweet natured David was to everyone who knew him that would explian why he was our Student body President. I told David, one day I want you to be the real President of United States, we laughed.
To all of David's family, I offer you my deepest regret. I will pass this sad news along to other class mates of David's who I am still in contact with. Heaven has a new Angel and we lost an Angel, we will meet again one day.
