Noa Jean Morris, was born on October 28, 1942, in
Kilgore, Texas, to Christine McClure and Nolan Pierce. Noa spent her early childhood being lovingly raised by her grandparents until the age of 10. In 1952, her mother, Christine, relocated Noa and her brother Richard to Los Angeles, California, where the next chapter of her life began.
Rooted in faith from a young age, Noa was raised in the church, baptized at the age of 12, and later sang in the choir as a teenager. Her faith would remain a guiding force throughout her life.
On April 7, 1961, she married Roosevelt Morris Jr., and just months later, she graduated from Jordan High School in Long Beach in June of that same year. From this union, three children were born: Richard, the eldest, in Long Beach, California, and Valerie and Carl in Washington, D.C., at Andrews Air Force Base.
As a military wife, Noa spent 15 years traveling the world with her family, including five memorable years in Italy during Roosevelt's service in the U.S. Navy. In 1978, Noa and her children returned to Los Angeles, where she continued to build a life centered on love, resilience, and family.
Professionally, Noa dedicated more than 21 years of service to Centinela Hospital, working in food service, her commitment and work ethic reflected the same care and compassion she showed her family.
A gifted cook, Noa expressed her love through her meals, bringing family together around the table. Those gatherings filled with stories, laughter, and connection became a lasting symbol of her nurturing spirit and will remain a cherished tradition in her memory.
Noa's interests were as vibrant as her personality. She found joy and strength in her faith and approached life's challenges with humor, boldness, and grace. Her home was often filled with laughter, especially as she enjoyed watching her favorite daytime talk shows and following the dramatic twists of her beloved soap operas.
Noa Jean Morris lived a life rich in love, resilience, and meaningful relationships. She was a guiding light to all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends.
Noa's life was marked by unwavering faith, an indomitable spirit, and a heart full of love. Her laughter was infectious, her strength undeniable, and her presence a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. She was the beloved matriarch of her family, cherishing her children Richard, Valerie, and Carl, and taking immense pride in her grandchildren Vanessa, Devon, Elon, and Cameron as well as her great-grandchildren, Devon Jr., Davu, and Mila.
Also leaves behind a large and loving circle of siblings E. Jerome (Richard), Peggy, Robert Lewis, Michael, Lonnie Sue, Marvin Neal, Beverly, Linda, Kathy, Robert III, and Oria with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories and an unbreakable bond.
A beacon of strength, warmth, and sweetness passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, in Hemet, California, at the age of 83.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Richard. through deeply missed, his memory lives on alongside hers in the hearts of their family.
As we say farewell to this extraordinary woman, we find peace in the love she gave so freely and the memories she leaves behind. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her
