I would like to say something about how Dave's life and death have affected me. I got to know him very well as a fellow teacher at Huntington Park High School and I always felt that I had a special connection with him. Without getting into specifics, I can only say that his influence on my life and decisions was subtile yet profound. He will be greatly missed, not only by me but also by his former students and by fellow faculty at HPHS.
