Ah Erin, truly our SAHS Class of ‘51 star ye are. . .to this day and beyond. So enjoy playing “Songs from the Heart of Erin O’Brien,” the CD that your darlin’ sis Sheila ‘54 presented to everyone at our Saints-51 60-Year Reunion at Casa Cody, Palm Springs. Being with you then will forever remain a cherished, heartfelt memory. (Just picked up where we left off years before. “Girlfriend, can we talk?”) We sure did; recall the three of us closed down the Hospitality room; Casa Cody even turned off the outside lights! Can still hear your beautiful, lilting laughter as we wrapped it up! So many heartfelt condolences to your beloved Kanan, precious children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, all the O’Brien siblings, nieces, nephews, and all the myriad dear ones who knew and loved you. May I add a special tribute to your darlin’ sis, Sheila, who stays in touch in such loving ways. Always in my heart, thoughts, and prayers ye’ll forever be precious Erin and all.

Erin was an exceptionally wonderful human being and I feel very blessed for having known her. My father heard her sing in the mid 50’s, while my mother was pregnant with me. He said, if it’s a girl I would like to name her Erin. It was and I am Erin. I later married her son Patrick and was welcomed into her life with open arms. The world lost an amazing person and heaven’s choir is now that much more beautiful.
