I so enjoyed talking with Esther about the Bailey family as I was researching the history of the family. My mother thought a lot of Esther.

I want to say thank you to Mother's many steadfast friends who provided support and comfort throughout the years and especially over this past year which was a difficult one for her. Friends and family are what kept her going even when it was rough.
There will be a memorial service for Mom to be held on 10/23 at 2pm at The Los Altos Church of Christ on Atherton just off Bellflower Blvd. near CSU, Long Beach campus.

Esther has been a friend since 1962 when I started teaching at Holmes Elementary School in Long Beach. She was a lovely human being who was interested in the individual and the world. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Esther was a special friend to many. She enjoyed the varied aspects of her life and delighted in sharing her memories. My condolences to Jack, Kris and Lorna.
