George Thomas Kuvakas

George Thomas Kuvakas George Thomas Kuvakas, age 83, of Seal Beach, passed away July 09, 2007 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Alice, his two sons, George (Dan) and Randall; his stepchildren, Judy Lamont, Kenny Noll and Ginny Noll. George and Alice had 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. George sp ent his life as part of the International Longshoreman's and Warehouse Union (ILWU) of which he stayed active from 1944 to 2007. He has held every position in the union in three separate Locals 13, 94 and the Pensioners group. He has received many honors over the years and in 2006, he was honored Man of the Year. Memorial services to be held on August 1, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Longshoreman's Memorial Association, 231 W. C Street Wilmington, CA 90744. In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his honor to the So. Cal. Penioners Group at the same address listed above.
