Mary Katherine Hall Beason Rhoads

Mary Katherine Hall Beason Rhoads, 94, went peacefully on December 8, 2017 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Daughter of Charles and Pearl Hall, she was born December 28, 1923 in Hot Spring County, Arkansas.
Katherine will be joining in Heaven her parents and sisters, Lovie Hughes, Lula Mae Huggins and Adele Hughes; husbands, Jake Beason and L.V. Rhoads; and many family members and friends, Frank Romero (Fleet-Foot) of Long Beach Ca. and Peggy Efird of Malvern, Ar. She is leaving behind daughters, Mary Richardson and Betty (Jim) Birdsell; grandsons Gary Richardson and Anthony Bemberger, all of California; and a very special granddaughter, Susan Souza of Kentucky, who has been taking loving care of Katherine for the past four years; sisters, Lavelle White, Charlene Small and brother, Dean Hall, all of Arkansas; special friend, Susana Correa, who watched closely over Katherine before she moved to Kentucky.
Katherine (known as "Kathy", "Kat", "Mary", "Nina", and "Pete") moved from Arkansas to California in December 1960 where she lived until 2014 when she moved to Kentucky. She retired with more than 50 years of service from Goodwill Industries of Los Angeles County. For many years, she belonged to several of the Senior Clubs in Wilmington, CA. She loved going to the casinos with them and playing the slots. She never missed a chance to go on the senior trips. She loved the parties they had in Las Vegas every summer and every Christmas season. She took pride in being well-dressed, always enjoyed planning a new outfit for the Christmas party and always looked stunning.
Katherine requested cremation. Memorial celebrations are planned for next summer in Arkansas. (Time and date to be determined.)
Everyone who knew this amazing woman loved her and she always had a place in their heart. This is a quote given to her years ago that says it all. "To Mary "Kathy" Rhoads....."
