Raymond Scheetz Obituary
Ray Scheetz passed away early Monday, October 7th in Lakewood from complications with Emphysema. He was born In Los Angeles on June 29, 1938 to Jesse and Gertrude Scheetz. He met Leanne Whittingham in 1957 and they were married in April 1959. They had 2 children, Mark and Kari. Ray was a Legend in the world of sprint car racing and will be dearly missed. Ray is survived by his wife Leanne; son, Mark Scheetz (Donna); daughter, Kari Johnson (Randy); 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Mike), Laura (Jeff), Jeremy, Farren and Mya; and 4 great grandchildren, Jamie Ray, Ryan, Kaleb and Lily. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 14th at 1:00 pm at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, CA, at the Sky Rose Chapel. A luncheon will follow at the Swiss Park Banquet Center in Whittier.
