Andres Padilla Obituary
Las Cruces - Andres Jose Eduardo Padilla entered into the eternal peace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 16th, 2021.
Andres was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on December 16th, 2001. He was the youngest child, and much longed for son, of Edward and Dolores Padilla (also of Las Cruces, NM).
As a young child Andres loved sports especially soccer and football. He also developed a deep love of family and a love of the outdoors. He could always be counted on to volunteer to help his father and uncle out at the ranch and was sure to always take the heavy end of things needing to be lifted.
In addition to his deep love of family, he was an exceptional student who excelled in all subjects but worked exceptionally hard in math and was gifted in writing. Andres graduated in May of 2020 from Mayfield High School where he spent 3 years as a member of the football team. He subsequently enrolled as a student at New Mexico State University where he was pursuing a major in Mechanical Engineering but had a desire to change majors to Computer Science.
Andres is survived by his mother and father, Edward and Dolores Padilla; and his older sisters, Marissa Bowman and Kristina Padilla. Andres also leaves behind his two brothers-in-law, 3 nieces, and his godson. In addition, Andres will be missed by the entirety of his extended family, numerous friends, and many more whose lives he never knew he touched.
Arrangements are being handled by Getz Funeral Home (1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001) and services will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 1pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe (3600 Paroquia St, Las Cruces, NM 88001.

My condolences to Andres’s family and friends. When we heard the news, we were at a loss of words! We admired his kindness, respectfulness, and well mannered. He was loved by many. We will always remember his smile and sweet voice. My daughter loved talking with him when visiting her aunty, they would have conversations for days! He was very sweet and caring person. May god bless his family! He will be remembered in our hearts forever!
