Angela Martinez

It is with overwhelming sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful Angel from this earth. Angela was born to Arlene B. (J. Joe) Martinez and Lawrence Flores in Albuquerque, NM on Nov. 11, 1974. For several years Angela resided in Edmond, OK. with her husband Andres "Andy" Martinez Jr. and children Cesar L. (Jayme) Ortega, Alexander "Alex" Flores, Ashley Flores and Caitlynn Solis. After enduring this past year of illness, pain and suffering, Angela was welcomed with open arms in order to join our Lord and Savior in heaven. She graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1993. After moving with her family to Oklahoma she married Andy, the man who became the love of her life. Angela then went on to receive her Associates Degree from Oklahoma State University in Applied Science Crime Victim/Survivor Services in June 2012. Angela's family were very active members of the Frontline Church in Oklahoma City. Pastor Brian Elliot and his wife Myrna were constantly at her side. Many thanks and prayers go to her dear friends Jennifer Snow, Krista Brash and Alicia Brooksher for their tender acts of love and kindness during this trying time. Angela was preceded in heavens journey by her, mother-in-law Stella (J.R.) Johnson and father-in-law Andres Martinez; grandfathers Nathaniel Candelaria, Gonzalo "Steve" Gonzales and her Uncle Joe Herrera. Angela leaves the following loved ones waiting to someday join her in Heavens Kingdom. Along with her beloved Andy, son Cesar and his wife Jayme, Angela's precious granddaughter Autumn Rae, daughter Ashley Flores, son Alex N. Flores, daughter Caitlynn Solis; her loving mother and stepfather Arlene (J. Joe) Martinez; father Lawrence Flores, grandmothers Nancy Gonzales, Lupe Herrera; brothers Lawrence "Larry" N. (Sarah) nephews Aasa, Ryder, Gunner, niece Tiara Bardwell; sister-in-laws Sandra (Herman) Perez and Becky Martinez along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Angela, may Gods angels keep you smiling that infectious smile you always had and keep you dancing and singing 'til we come together again. Good night. God Bless you. Sweet Dreams.... We Love You. A celebration of Angela's life will take place on March 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Hank Willemsma officiating at Valley View Baptist Church located at 4175 Lavender Dr. off Elks Dr. in Las Cruces, NM.
