Aurora Cordova

1932 - 2018

Aurora Vega Cordova, born on November 28, 1932 in Derry, New Mexico, to the late Filomena Vega and the late Jesus Vega, passed away at 85 on January 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was a Home Maker, Mother and Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
Aurora was married to the late Ramon Lovato Cordova. She was preceded in death by her brother, Remijio Vega.
Aurora is survived by her daughters, Minerva Singh (Dasti) of La Mesa, NM and Veronica Cordova of Las Cruces, NM; son, Armando V. Cordova of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Angela Gomez (Jose); brothers, Leo Vega (Susie), Jesus Vega Jr., Eloy Vega, Venancio Vega, and Roger Vega; grandchildren, Ramon M. Cordova, Desiree Y. Cordova, Angela M. Cordova, Jarrod Singh, July Singh, Richard Lucero, Adrian Lucero, and Julianna Lucero; and great-grandchildren, Josiah Cordova, Fenix Jackson, Thalia Tonini, and Jazmin Mae Lucero. Aurora's hobbies included cooking, baking, gardening, and spoiling her grandkids.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and son-in-law.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in memory of Aurora V. Cordova.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 am, Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with a Funeral Liturgy to follow at 10:30 am. Interment will follow St. Joseph's Cemetery.
