Elfigo Padilla Obituary
Al is survived by his loving family: Leonor Chavez Padilla, married November 1, 1952 in Blanco, NM. Sons Elfigo (Fig) and Sue Padilla, Gregory and Christina Padilla. Daughters Dolores and Lee Aimesbury, and Denise and Matthew Sena. Grandchildren Erick and Lelani Arviso, Dennis and Justin Arviso, Aaron and Nia Sena, and Hallie Padilla. Sisters Virginia Baldonado, Ruth Sutton, and Cora Trujillo. Brother Pimie Padilla, and many in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He retired from WSMR in 1983.
Visitation for Al will be held on Saturday June 13, 2009 at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home 555 W. Amador from 12:30-1:30pm with the prayer vigil to begin at 1:30pm. Memorial Service will follow at 2:00pm. At his request, cremation will follow and his remains will be inurned at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Columbarium on Saturday, June 20, at 9:00am. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Honorary will be Jack Valencia, Pete Lara, Robert Collins, and Eli Mabry. In lieu of flowers, family ask that donations be made in Al's name to any of the following: Cowboys for Cancer, La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice, or The Retired Catholic Priests and Nuns. Aunt Lenore, cousins and family, my heart felt condolences to you all. I have many fond memories of Uncle Elfigo and have always admired him for the generous, intelligent and fun loving man he was.
