I was deeply saddened at hearing of J.R.'s death. I count myself among the many who did not know him well, but were affected nonetheless by the quality of being that made him a beloved and respected member of our community. Please know that all of the goodwill J.R. generated is alive and well; that each life he touched, in the smallest of ways, is the better for having known him.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, mother, daughter and family. J.R. was a amazing man he was extremely helpful and so full of life and joy I can't remember seeing him without a smile. This town will not be the same without him but I hope that more people will follow in his legacy and keep it going. I know there are no words to say to make the pain any less for his wife having been a widow it is hard but I pray God wraps his arms around the family and keeps them safe. Gone too soon but you will forever live on in our hearts and memories. R.I.H. J.R. STEWART.

To Stewart family, our sincerest and deepest condolences for this huge loss to you and us, Members of the community. I had the pleasure of meeting JR when I was majoring in CJ; very funny, loving, caring, helpful, etc., etc. I felt "honored" that a few years ago, my son and I went to a Gus Macker Tournament, couldn't find handicapped parking (serious knee problem). JR was parked in his motor cycle monitoring traffic. I waved "hi" to him, he responded. I then asked him "why don't they have more handicapped parking?" His immediate response was, "follow me." He briefly stopped traffic, asked that we follow him. He escorted my son and I to a back entrance, towards a corner, and VERY CLOSE walking distance to the basketball courts. He informed people 'there' that he was allowing me to park 'there.' JR, may you rest in peace and KNOW that you are so very loved in this community and will be missed DEARLY!! To your family, treasure all of the beautiful memories he has left. My prayers are with all of you and those of us who still cannot believe this tragic incident.
