Jaime Sanchez Jr. Obituary

Jaime Diaz Sanchez Jr., 33, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, due to complications of influenza A, pulmonary hypertension and ARDS. He fought a courageous battle but succumbed peacefully. Jaime was born July 20, 1982, at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona. He graduated in 2001 from Cobre High School in Silver City, New Mexico, and attended Border Institute of Technology.

Jaime is survived by his parents Jaime Diaz Sanchez Sr. of Doña Ana, New Mexico, and Cynthia Lou Bottini of Mesa, Arizona. He has two older sisters, Rebecca Sanchez Borchert (Kevin Borchert, Natalie Radzik, Michael Radzik Jr.) of Phoenix, and Jennifer Ann Aragon (Jorge Vazquez Jr., Janessa Vazquez) also of Phoenix; and one big brother Andrew Jack Aragon II (Marlou, Andrew III, Milena) of San Diego, California, and his New Mexico mother Georgia Mesa Duncan of Lordsburg and best friend/brother Dominick Alexander Duncan of Las Cruces.

Jaime loved the outdoors, collecting guns and camping out with his entire Amtgard family. Some of his hobbies included Viking history, computers, WoW and MAGIC: The Gathering. Jaime was a good friend and a great mentor. He tried his best to be positive in attitude and example, and it was rare that you got to see his fiery temper. Most would say he provided great advice and even better bear hugs. His smile would light up a room and he made friends where ever he went. Jaime could talk to anyone about anything, he was very intelligent. He was passionate, thoughtful and caring and would not want anyone to be sad with his passing. Celebrate his life by telling those close to you that you love them and live your life to the fullest.

Preceded in death grandfather Balthazar Juan Sanchez, grandmother Rosemary Elizabeth Bottini, uncle Reymundo Sanchez, nephews Jose Luis and Raul Cruz Sanchez; and cousins Jason Peña and Zachary Jeffreys. Jaime is survived by grandmother Maria Diaz Sanchez, aunt Teresa S. Morales (Padrino Greg Morales, Lucas Sanchez Morales, Thomas Gregory Morales), uncle Emilio Sanchez (Vicky, Cheyenne) of Danville, Alabama, and aunt Vivian Sanchez (Cristina, Antonio, Victoria) of El Paso, Texas. Also, grandfather Louis D. Bottini of New Mexico, aunts Deborah Peña (Jessica) of California, Brenda Spencer (Donald, Geoffrey and Brian) of New Mexico, Marie Bottini (Erik, Sarah, Daniel and Jami) of Oklahoma, Christine Franzoy (David, Amanda, Zane, Louis, Molly and Noah) of New Mexico, uncles Richard Bottini (Yamilet, JL, Gabriele) of Alabama, Barry Bottini (Jolene, Butch) of New Mexico and Daniel Bottini (Trish, DJ, Patrick) of New Mexico.

La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home of Las Cruces has been entrusted with the Cremation. Memorial and celebration of Jaime's life was held at Apodaca Park in Las Cruces on Saturday, March 5.
