It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Jean-Paul Chauvin SR at the age of 91. He leaves behind his wife Marguerite, his children Jean-Paul Jr. (Xin- Feng Ma), Sophie (Pasquale), Pierre (Sylvie), his grandchildren Isabelle and Audrey-Ann, as well as many relatives and friends.The family will receive condolences Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 6 p.m. followed by a ceremony at 8 p.m. Instead of flowers, donations to the "Maison de Soins Palliatifs de Laval" will be appreciated. www.msplaval.ca.

I'm sadden by the passing of your father. I worked with Mr. Chauvin at Sun Life of Canada for many years. I have fond memories of a great man. I will always cherish those memories. My sincere sympathies to the family.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the entire family. Monsieur Chauvin was one of the best agents that worked for Sun Life at the time I was working there. He was funny, caring and kind to all of us. He ALWAYS made me smile and laugh, and always liked a hello kiss on his cheek. He reminded me of my father SO MUCH (who passed away in 2010). He spoke of his wife and children a lot too. He was such a good hearted person. He for sure is going to be missed!

I was deeply deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Uncle Paul. I have many fond memories of wonderful times spent with friends and family. He will certainly be missed. This marks the passing of a very classy gentleman.
Jean Paul Chauvin was a clever, gentle individual with a great sense of humour. He was always ready to assist any who sought him out. Jean Paul was one of a kind in Sun Life in Montreal, and will be fondly remembered by his many friends and colleagues.
