Joshua Guzman Obituary

Joshua James Guzman, 37, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
Josh was born June 30, 1979, in Las Cruces NM to Roberto and Sylvia Guzman. He attended Mayfield High School and later graduated from San Andres High School. After high school just briefly attended Dona Ana Community College, before finding his true passion as a Paint and Auto Body Technician.
Josh competed in wrestling, baseball and kickboxing. He later became a T-Ball and Softball coach. Josh was a true Steelers Fan, who bled black and yellow. #STEELERFAN
He is survived by; his loving daughter, Vannessa M. Guzman, parents, Roberto J. Sr. and Sylvia A. Guzman, grandmother, Maria R. Moreno, brothers, Melecio "Eli" M. Guzman (Georgina), Robert J Guzman Jr. (Elaina Contreras), sister, Valerie Nicole Resendiz (Julian). Josh also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Josh is preceded in death by; his paternal grandmother, Rosalia G. Perez, and maternal grandfather, Oton G. Moreno.
A visitation for Josh will be held the morning of Wednesday, June 28, 2017, from 9:30-11:30 am, at Getz Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will also be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, at 1:00 pm. The funeral mass will follow the prayer vigil at 1:30 pm. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
