Juana Marta

Juana Gloria Marta was born to Barbarito and Paula Gloria in Rodey, N.M. on March 28, 1920. She was predeceased by husband Zacarias Gerando Marta in 1999; son Felipe Marta in 1998, daughter Erminda Marta in 1991, and grandson Frank Marta in 2004. She is survived by brother Joe Gloria (Martha) and sister Maria Jesus Rojas (Manuel); sons, Antonio and Lorenzo (Margarita); daughters Enedina Price (Raymon), Mary Marta, Barbara Marta (long-time companion Blanca Villegas) and Elisa Marta (Angel); grandchildren, Anthony, Myra and Marie Price, Michael Marta, Larry, Robert, Alfred, Danny and Elizabeth Marta, James, Richard, Laura, Liliana Marta, Rene Felipe, Terry and Alma Morales, Zachery Rios, Adam Ramirez, and many other great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marta was a homemaker all her life. She loved to knit and was kind and hospitable to all who entered her home. Family and friends were most important to her. She was a loving mother and grandmother and even a great-great-grandmother. She was more than a member of the family; she was a friend to all and held a place for everyone in her heart. She brought joy to those who knew her and for this she will be missed by numerous family and friends. Rosary will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at La Paz Grahams Funeral Home Chapel, 555 W. Amador Ave., Las Cruces, NM. A funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3600 Parroquia St., Tortugas, N.M. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 100 S Espina, Las Cruces, N.M. The family would like to express appreciation to Carolina Lozoya and her mother Francisca Muñoz for the many years of visitation that she enjoyed very much. Also to all the staff of Mesilla Valley Hospice, for their compassionate treatment.
