Larry Fought Obituary
He was born in 1948 in Clovis, NM, to his parents Harlan Donald and Margery Merrill (Baker) Fought. After graduating from Texico High School, Larry attended New Mexico State University to study Engineering. He would leave school to join the Navy, where he served two separate terms from 1968-72 and 1973-77.
After his military service, Larry returned to Las Cruces to finish his degree and help his parents on their farm. Soon after, he had the opportunity to move to Dallas to work for Texas Eastman then Ling-Temco Vaught and eventually return to Las Cruses to finish his career with New Mexico State University's Physical Sciences Laboratory. Larry was an avid learner and was always willing to teach or talk about numerous math and science subjects.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Erin Fought and grandson Trevor Ledesma; sister, Diana (Jon) Moore; niece and nephew Teresa (Bryan) Rembert and Chris (Karyn) Irwin; and several close friends, including Bill Curtis and Steve Craft, who helped look after Larry in his later years.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 27 at 1pm at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home of Las Cruces and burial at Masonic Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.

I shared many an hour working with Larry during our employment at the Physical Science Lab. I counted Larry as a "Friend" and will miss him.
