Michael Kominski Obituary

Mr. MICHAEL "MIKE" KOMINSKI
1948 – 2007
Mike Kominski, born on September 26, 1948, in Manchester, Connecticut, passed away at Mesilla Valley Hospice (La Posada) on April 3, 2007. He was preceded in death by both his father Walter and mother Lois.
After serving in the United States Marine Corp, he spent the majority of his career in Information Technology at Aetna Life and Casualty in Hartford, Connecticut.
Upon retirement, Mike and his wife Joyce moved to New Mexico in 2001, and relocated to Las Cruces in 2005. After their move, Mike pursued his passion for golf as a member of Picacho Hills Golf and Country Club. He was a great lover of "Texas Hold-em", and when not on the golf course he spent his time perfecting his poker skills.
He leaves his wife Joyce of 25 years and his brother, Walter Kominski, of Hernando, Florida. Although his immediate family members are few, he is survived and loved by many members of both his and his wife's families. Mike's wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by both family and friends in his home state of Connecticut, as well as his newly adopted state of New Mexico.
Mike's final request was to be cremated; his remains will be returned to his home golf course at Tallwood Country Club in Manchester, Connecticut. A private gathering of family and friends is being planned for next week at the Picacho Hills Golf and Country Club.
Donations can be made in Mike's memory to Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 East Montana, Las Cruces, New Mexico 88005.

Joyce, I'm very sorry to hear about Mike. I'll always remember the fun we had on our ski club trips (and his concern for your safty the time I took you for a motorcycle ride!). My thought are with you at this difficult time.

Joyce, I just now received notice of Mike's passing from Bob Zdankiewicz. I am so very sorry for your loss. It was such a shock to hear of this. Mike gave me a chance when I needed one and I will forever be in his debt. Even though I was four years his senior he acted as a mentor and coach giving advice and guidance I still rely on today in my everyday life. He touched my life during some difficult times for me in ways only he and I know, but because of this he will always be remembered as someone special.

Dear Joyce,
I was so sad to hear of Mike's passing. It doesn't seem that many years ago that Mike was showing me his "trained" cats in Manchester; where has the time gone? Our prayers go out to you, and rest assured that as I play Tallwood every Sunday morning I will be thinking of Mike and you with fondness.

Joyce, I'm so sorry to hear about Mike. You & he are in my prayers. I'll remember Mike, fondly, as the guy who let me borrow his clubs to "try" the game of Golf. A lot has changed since our Aetna days.

Joyce -- We're so very sorry we never got to know Mike; but the two of you opening your home to us for a look at those lights was a special welcome to Las Cruces. May wonderful memories comfort you through this difficult time.

Joyce
We are sending our condolences, and warm wishes to you on the passing of Mike. For many years Mike and I
bowled on the same team in the All Insurance league. I then had the fun of being his golf partner in an Aetna golf league. I will continue to miss his funny "quips" and words of encouragement regarding my golf game.

You and Mike are in our thoughts and prayers.

Joyce
We am so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Just knowing Mike during the years that he bowled with us in the All Insurance League, my best memories is that he always had a smile and a joke or two to make us laugh. We will remember him in our upcoming league banquet.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Joyce,
I am very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. My sincerest sympathy to you at this difficult time.
I have great memories of golfing with Mike for four days in Phoenix, a while back. We enjoyed the Pointe at Tapatio, Las Sendas, Talking Stick, and his favorite Troon North. We laughed, even at ourselves, and had a great time.
I won't forget Mike.
