Moises Nevarez Obituary
Those left to mourn his passing include a son, Johnny Nevarez; a daughter, Debra Martinez both of Las Cruces; two brothers, David Nevarez (Monse) of California and Alfredo Nevarez of La Mesa. Other survivors include five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Moy was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Raymond Nevarez and other family members.
Cremation has taken place and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 1:30 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina Street with the Memorial Mass to follow immediately thereafter. Inurnment of Cremains will take place at St. Genevieve Columbarium. Military Honor will be accorded by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard and the Marines Corps League El Perro Diablo Detachment.

Johnny, so sorry to read about your dad's passing from this earth. He was always so nice to us when we would shop at his grocery store. He was a hard worker and always a class act. You inherited all the good from him. I wish you peace at this tough time. Johnny McDowell

Very sorry to learn of Moy's passing. I knew Moy from WSMR. He always had a good attitude and easy to talk to. He is one of the "good guys" and will be missed. Our condolences to the family.

WHEN I RETURNED HOME AFTER SERVING IN THE ARMED FORCES IN 1956, BROTHERS MAX AND MOY HIRED ME AS A CASHIER IN THEIR SOLANO FOOD MARKET LOCATED ON THE S/E CORNER OF SOLANO DR. AND ARIZONA AVE. THEY WERE THE BEST EMPLOYERS ANYONE COULD EVER HAVE. IN TIME I GOT TO KNOW THEIR WONDERFUL FAMILIES. "MAY OUR GOOD LORD WELCOME MOY INTO HIS HEAVENLY KINGDOM WITH OPEN ARMS. "REST IN PEACE MY GOOD FRIEND."
