Patrick Atencio

Our dearest beloved brother, uncle and friend, Patrick "Pat" Atencio, age 74, of Fairacres entered eternal life Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family, Pat, was born June 19, 1941 in Greeley, Colorado to Guillermo, Sr. and Rafelita Vargas Atencio. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Pat had a heart of gold and was a pleasure to be around, his joyful spirit and laughter was contagious. He enjoyed playing guitar, watching old western movies, and collecting pens, whistles, and flashlights. Pat never went a day without saying his prayers, his faith was always strong and steady. He will be deeply missed.
Those left to mourn his passing include two brothers, Guillermo Atencio, Jr of Las Cruces and Marcelino Atencio of Denver, Colorado. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo Atencio, Sr. in 1994, his mother, Rafelita V. Atencio, on July 17, 2015, three brothers, Richard, Eugene, and Gilbert Atencio; and two sisters, Beatrice Martinez, and Rachel Bueno.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Baca's Funeral Home, 300 E. Boutz Road with Elder Larry Hinojosa presiding. Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
