Quirina Torres Obituary
Survivors include her loving husband, Anastacio Torres of the family home; two sons, Raul Anastacio Torres (Graciela) of Mesquite and Oscar Torres of Farmington; nine daughters, Linda Aguilar (Cecilio) of Doña Ana, Alicia Ferrales (Trinidad) of Salem, Lydia Marquez (Phillip) of Las Cruces, Bertha Garibay (Jose Rafael) of Albuquerque, Elvira Torres-Vigil (James) of Mesquite, Victoria Torres (Alfonso) of Las Cruces, Martha Stansbury (Garland) of Austin, Texas, Hortencia Viramontes (Ricardo) of Las Cruces and Ernestina Rivera (Andrew) of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Angel Martinez of Clint, Texas and Chito Martinez of Mexico; three sisters, Victoria Martinez of San Elizario, Texas, Lupe Martinez of Sausal, Mexico and Paula Flores of Oklahoma. Other survivors include fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Raul Torres.
Visitation for Mrs. Torres will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Mesquite, where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Family and friends will join together to celebrate the funeral mass at 10 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 in the same church with Reverend René Espejél officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be Arturo Aguilar, Sergio Marquez, Raul Martin and Jose Manuel Torres, Juan Trinidad Ferrales, Manuel Anastacio Garibay, Isaac and Angel Aguilar. Honorary bearers will be David Lopez, Alma Lopez, Monica Bull, Laura Garibay, and Nicole Marie Narvaez.

Elvira and Hortencia - I am so sorry about your mom. I was out of town and just found out. The few times I met her I remember how nice she was to me. She seemed like a very nice person. God Bless you and your family. If you need anything call.
