Raymundo D. Corral Sr.

Raymundo D. Corral Sr., 64, a resident of Silver City, N.M., entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at University Physicians Hospital at Kino Campus in Tucson, Ariz. He was born Dec. 10, 1944, to Ramon Padilla and Louisa (De Luna) Corral. Our loving Dad will be dearly missed by many. He will be remembered as fun- loving and generous. He was as passionate about cooking and entertaining guests as he was about his family. We invite everyone whose life he touched to celebrate with us, his new occupation among angels in heaven, (party planner). He is survived by his mother, Louisa Coley of Silver City; one son, Raymundo D. Corral Jr., and wife, Monica, of Taos, N.M.; one daughter, Antoinette Chavez, and husband, Mark, of Aurora, Colo.; one sister, Christina Terrazas, and husband, Bobby, of Arvada, Colo.; three grandchildren, Claire, Josey and Vincent; five nieces, Diana, Reina, Frances, Rebecca and Danytza; six nephews, Eddie, Roberto, Joseph, Thomas, Mark and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Padilla Corral. Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to start at 7 p.m. with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rod Nichols officiating. The interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery will full military honors. Pallbearers will be George DeLuna, Jerry DeLuna, Tommy Arzaga, Eddie Corral, Roberto Terrazas, and Tommy Melendez Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Roberto Terrazas, Thomas Jr., Nicholas, Mark and Joseph Melendez, Felipe Bencomo and Alfred Cordoza.
