Todd Monet

1967 - 2017

Our beloved husband, father, son and friend, Todd Monet, entered eternal rest February 25, 2017, after a brief battle with bronchial pneumonia. He is survived by his wife, Christina, of the family home. Other survivors include his children Brittany, Tori, and Avery, his step-children, Christopher and Lily, his sister, Jackie, his mother Judi Ewing Monet and husband Dick Lunsford, and father Martin Joseph Monet, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Todd was predeceased by his infant daughter Delaney, brother Michael, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Todd was born in Valley Stream, New York, November 27, 1967, but moved to New Mexico as an infant. He loved the mountains and deserts of New Mexico and could be found exploring as often as he could get away.
Todd graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1968, served stateside during Operation Desert Storm in the US Army as a tanker, and attended New Mexico State University for three and half years as an accounting and finance major until the car business lured him away. He had a long and successful career, and made many friends along the way.
Todd loved his family beyond measure. He was also so proud of his "guys", the young men and women he mentored in the car business. He was quick to recognize talent and encourage them as they developed their full potential.
Todd was a larger-than-life presence to all of us. Many people all over the state of New Mexico have known and respected Todd in the car business, and many of them had a tremendous influence on his life. Special mention is offered to one of his high school teachers, Diana Clark, who became a dear friend, and one of his bosses, Richard Johnson of Hobbs, who was loved as a surrogate father.
He was loved greatly, as he loved, and will be missed forever.
An open viewing with family and friends is scheduled at the Small Chapel at La Paz – Graham's Funeral Home from 6-8 pm on Monday, March 6, 2017. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 7, at 1:30 pm, with burial services at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery immediately following Mass.
Pallbearers are Richard Johnson, Jeff Vanlandingham, Johnny Ramirez, Rick Aranda, Brett Abernathy, and Brad Craig.
