Vivianna Shaw

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Vivianna M. Parra Shaw, 35, of Las Cruces on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 27, 1979 in Las Cruces to Juan and Elsa Martinez Parra. At the time of her death, Vivianna was attending New Mexico State University and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Michael A. Shaw, of the family home; a daughter, Adelisa J. Shaw; her mother, Elsa M. Baca and husband Hector Baca, all of Las Cruces; two brothers, Juan Carlos Parra and wife, Regina Parra, of Kansas, and Angel Ray Gallegos of Las Cruces; one sister, Rose Mary Rosales and husband, Adam, of Las Cruces; two sisters-in-law, Nichole Simmons of Oregon and Elizabeth Shaw of Las Cruces. Other survivors include two nephews, Juan Carlos Parra Jr. and Jerimiah Baca; three nieces, Lilianna Rosales, Tamara Haynes and Shania Baca. She was preceded in death by her father and an uncle, Carlos Martinez.
Visitation for Vivianna will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, in St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina, where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the funeral Mass to follow immediately thereafter. The rite of committal and interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, 100 N. Espina, where she will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be Orlando Mirabal, Alex Holguin, Paul Martinez, Angel Rey Gallegos, Tommy McDonald and Jesus Baca.
