David Hanson Obituary

David L. Hanson CLEONA David L. Hanson, 63, of 2 W. Walnut St., died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife, Ok Sun (Won) Hanson. Born in Watertown, S.D., on May 10, 1950, the son of the Jacob Hanson and Aune Martilla Hanson, he graduated in 1968 from Lake Norden High School. After high school, he was drafted into the Army during Vietnam, serving 20+ years, and then worked as a Transportation Network Specialist for the U.S. Postal Service for 19 years. He attended Fairland Brethren in Christ Church and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Linda Hanson; a son, David J. and his wife, Nicole; four grandchildren, Maya, Alexandria, Isabella, and Jacob; brother-in-law, M.B. and his wife, SJ Won; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lester, and a sister, Rose Palmer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, at 5 p.m. from Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, 529 W. Penn Ave., Cleona. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, and on Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the church. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is in charge of arrangements. www.kreamerfuneralhome.com

Thinking about David and all of the family he left behind 8 years ago. Family was very important to him. He made numerous calls to us to stay in touch. We all treasure the time we had with him. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of David’s family. I know he is very proud!❤

One of my fondest memories of Dave was visiting Ok Sun and his children Linda and Dave Jr. in Cleona. We enjoyed swimming and had so much fun with singing Karaoke in his basement. He was a good man who loved his family. May you Rest In Peace Uncle Dave.
