John Weaver Obituary

LEBANON John Martin Weaver, 88, passed away at his home on Monday, November 29, 2010. He was the husband of the late Rachel B (Gingrich) Weaver, who passed away in 2007 after 65 years of marriage. He was born in Weaverland, Lancaster County, on August 18, 1922, to the late David O and Elizabeth Z (Martin) Weaver. He was a member of the North Lebanon Mennonite Church, where he served in the ministry since 1959. Surviving are five sons, Eugene, husband of Minnie Esther (Stover) Weaver, Sarasota, Fla.; Earl, husband of Alma (Martin) Weaver; Mervin, husband of Edith (Rissler) Weaver; John, husband of Rachel (Stover) Weaver; Marlin, husband of Mildred (Good) Weaver; one daughter-in-law, Betty (Good) Weaver, all of Lebanon; two daughters, Mary Jane, wife of Willis Martin, Myerstown; Karen, wife of Darryl Mast, Amelia, Va.; 43 grandchildren and 133 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ivan M Weaver, Womelsdorf; Luke M Weaver, Elizabethtown; Melvin M Weaver, Ephrata; Harvey M Weaver, Dongola, Ill.; two sisters, Esther M Martin, Wellsboro; Ruth M Silverman, Mill Valley, Calif.He was preceded in death by his son, Mark G Weaver, three brothers, two sisters, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Rd, Myerstown PA 17067. The viewing will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Swatara Mennonite Church. Interment will be in the North Lebanon Mennonite Church Cemetery, located on Kercher Ave, Lebanon.Arrangements are in the care of the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. www.kreamerlumfh.com
