I had the absolute honor and pleasure of being Mike’s Realtor years ago. Through those many years we developed a solid friendship. He was always so kind and full of encouragement. And his sense of humor always brought me to tears laughing.
The world has lost one of the best!
Prayers to Bonnie and the entire family

I was truly saddened when seeing that we have lost this thoughtful and caring man and cannot shake it from my mind. I remember many conversations between my father and Mike, they enjoyed each others company immensely. He was a blessing in mom's final months, making sure to bring her two surviving brothers for visits. He was always concerned about others and rarely mentioned what was happening in his own life. I will truly miss my cousin, and he will be missed by many. May you fly high Mike and know we love you. Love to the family.

My deepest sympathies to the Bowman family. Mike was a teacher during my senior year at Cedar Crest High School. He so wanted to keep a connection to the students, that he joined our class FaceBook page. He was looking forward to going us at our upcoming reunion. He'll be with us in spirit. May He Rest In Peace. Tina Deraco, Class of 70, CCHS

Mike and I were classmates and friends from our days at Harrison Jr High School. We lost touch after graduation from LHS in 1963 but rekindled our friendship due to the 50th reunion that he so ably guided. We continued our friendship through class events and messenger after I made the move back to Lebanon. I was saddened to learn of his passing and my sincerest sympathy to Bonnie and his whole family.

Mike was my classmate and friend from our Jr. high days at Harrison through graduation from LHS in 1963. We lost touch until our 50th reunion when he got in touch and encouraged me to attend and move back to the area. That began an online renewal of our friendship. I last saw Mike in July at the lunch, and I am so saddened that he is gone too soon. He will be missed.

Mike was my friend, on Facebook, but a fellow veteran at the Lebanon VA, also another pool enthusiast, an excellent conversationalist. He died too young. I will miss him. RIP, Mike.

It was always so much fun to watch lacrosse with Mike. Yeah he was there to watch his grandson, but he had a way of making it better for everyone around him. He also looked out for my boys at LVC I was always grateful for that. I will miss those times and that smile! RIP my friend!

My cousin Mike has always been someone that I looked up too.
He was such a good nephew to my Father, Calvin Leedy.
He gave my father so much happiness, Words cannot express my appreciation for his manner with my father.
I feel blessed that Mike was a part of our family.
Hopefully, we can celebrate Mike’s life accomplishments together.
God Bless.

I met Mike when he was a plebe in Company L-1 at West Point, 1964. I was one year ahead of him. We had a friendship that lasted all these years, even though Mike chose not to finish West Point, but go on to another college and career. Ironically, we both worked at AMP Inc. for many years when we settled into our civilian careers. We stayed in touch through social media and I will miss our friendship and discussions. I send my condolences to his loving family and wish them the strength to hold his dear memories in their hearts.
Mike, shine on somewhere beyond the blue. Rest easy.

So sad to lose Mike. He has been a friend since high school, and was a very special person. Many adventures were shared by our class and he was faithful to his friends over all these years. Most impressive to me was that he would show up at his friends’ parents’ funerals even though he did not know the parents. I am thankful to have been around at the same time as Mike, and to have shared lots of laughter and a bit of sadness with him. My love to Bonnie and the family.

Mike was a true friend that had a kind soul. We spent many hours talking PSU football together. I was fortunate to go to two games with him. One just the two of us and one with my son. They were times I will never forget. He was just a good guy who I’ll miss talking with a lot. Prayers for him and his family.

I got to know Mike and his Penn State football travel buddies as I completed my "see Penn State play an away game at each Big Ten School" over the course of about a decade. It got to the point where we'd sit together at events and discuss our team. Mike and the guys made each trip most enjoyable when we'd run into each other. They would really make me laugh. I know he was keenly interested in the current team leadership. Most sincere sympathy to all who loved him and are mourning his passing.

Mike and I were high school classmates but our real friendship didn't evolve until forty years later. After our 40th class reunion, Mike started laying the groundwork for our 50th reunion. It started with regular breakfasts and lunches for class members and it grew over the years. He was a prolific correspondent with individual and blast emails to classmates over they years leading up to the reunion. However, our correspondence was not limited to the reunion. We shared stories of family and travels over the years. I was living in St. Marys, Georgia at the time but still had family in Lebanon. I could not visit my family without a breakfast or lunch with Mike and usually with Tom Bowman. Mike ultimately organized and emceed one of the best class reunions ever. His devotion to his family was complete and he took great pride in everything they did. He was a true patriot to the day he died and I will miss my comrade and friend.

15 years ago, Mike and his wife reached out to me, a complete stranger, and shared the enormous pride and love they had for their grandson. Mike was a courageous, thoughtful and interesting guy who will be greatly missed in Annville.
