Sally Bressler Obituary

Sally Ann Bressler

Lebanon - Sally Ann Bressler, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was in rehab at StoneRidge Towne Centre in Myerstown, where she was trying to regain her ability to walk again after a bout with Covid a month earlier, when her heart just started to shut down.

Born on June 1st, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Stanley L. and Effie M. (Bomberger) Smith in Lebanon. She graduated from South Lebanon High School in the Class of 1961. Prior to being married, she worked in the family business at Bomberger's Lebanon Bologna in South Lebanon, and for College Hill Poultry at the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg.

On June 3rd, 1967, she married the love of her life, Ronald R. Bressler, for almost 54 years. Meeting on a blind date, Ron said many, many times that she was the best thing that ever happened to him in his life. He could not have asked for a better partner, lover, and friend. She was a devoted, caring, and loving mother and homemaker for all their years together. Until Covid came on the scene, they were inseparable when leaving home, whether it be shopping, dining out or just going for a ride in their sports car. She was one of the nicest, happiest persons anyone would care to meet, always with a smile and those bright blue eyes looking at you.

An avid bowler back in the day, she bowled on teams with her husband and friends. She liked doing Word Find books, watching game shows, and various other activities around the house with plants and flowers later in life.

She is survived by her son Timothy J. and fiancé Desiree with grandson Dillon of Charleroi, PA, and daughter Cathy Ann Woellmer and husband Richard of Bethel, PA. She was preceded in death by her brother Henry B. Smith of Lebanon.

All services will be at the convenience of the family. For those that would like to make donations of any kind, it is suggested to give to the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, 259 S. 4th St., Lebanon, PA 17042-1281, or StoneRidge Towne Centre, 7 W. Park Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at WellSpan GSH and StoneRidge. They could not have been more caring in Sally's time of need.
