Aldo James Veronesi

1926 - 2015

Aldo James Veronesi, 88, of Seminole, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, May 24, 2015, at Back to Basics Home in Dayton.
Born October 20, 1926, in Seminole, he was the son of Peter and Giulia (Saiani) Veronesi.
He married Olive T. Bashline on August 31, 1957. They were married for almost 58 years. She survives.
Mr. Veronesi was a postmaster in Seminole for 48 years.
He was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in New Bethlehem.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, Phyllis Miller and her husband, Terry, of Indiana, Anna Donato and her husband, Michael, of Hawthorn, Dr. Peter Veronesi of Holley, N.Y., and Joseph Veronesi and his fiancé, Marcie, of Seminole; six grandchildren, Maria Miller of Johnstown, Samuel Miller of Indiana, Houston Donato of Hawthorn, Giulia Donato of Pittsburgh, and Gabrielle Veronesi and Jereme Wynkoop, both of Seminole; a sister, Emma Spanedda and her husband, John, of Wayne, N.J.; and a brother, Milton Veronesi and his wife, Lois, of Seminole.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Radaker and Jenny Veronesi; and six brothers, Geno, Guido, Charles, Eddie, George and Frank Veronesi.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.
A Prayer Vigil Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the St. Charles Catholic Church in New Bethlehem with the Rev. Father Sam Bungo officiating.
Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Distant.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the St. Charles Catholic Church, 201 Washington St., New Bethlehem, PA 16242.
