1944 - 2025

Donna L. Smith, 81, of Fairmount City (Alcola), passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on February 17, 1944, in Fairmount City, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Cleo (Bowser) Freedline.

She was married on May 23, 1964, to Harry G. "Archie" Smith and he preceded her in death.

Donna worked at the Pennsylvania Memorial Home in Brookville as a CNA. She also owned and operated the Alcola Dog Grooming shop.

She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Burford of New Bethlehem, Tracy Smith Kells (Dave), and Mary Neiswonger (Jeff) both of Fairmount City; 11 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Campbell of Carrollton, Ohio and Carol Yeany of New Bethlehem; and four sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Dottie" Kunselman of New Bethlehem, Betty Nolf of Harrisburg, Louise Smith of New Bethlehem and Suzie Freedline of Clarion.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Minich; two brothers, James Freedline and John Freedline; two grandchildren, Kye Kennemuth and Lindsey Lee Brocious; and two great-grandchildren, Jayden Spence and Kyelar Kennemuth.

She received wonderful care from her daughter Tracy and granddaughter Taylor, after her declining health.

There will be a private graveside service at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
