Gary Shea Obituary

Gary D. Shea, 88, of New Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.

Born June 18, 1937, in New Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Tom and Jean Shea.

He married Donna K. (Miller) Shea on June 28, 1958. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2020.

Gary served his country with the U.S. Army.

He worked as a surveyor and as a supervisor for PennDOT.

Gary was a member of the New Bethlehem First Fellowship Church.

He also was a member of the Walter W. Craig Post No. 354 of New Bethlehem American Legion, a 50-year member of the New Bethlehem Lodge No. 522 F&AM, Coudersport Consistory and Syria Mosque Shrine.

Survivors include a niece, Christy Shuster and her husband, Doug, of Templeton; a nephew, Steve Riggle of Butle; and a special friend, Pam Edmonds of New Bethlehem.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Gary Shea.

At Gary's request there will be no services.

Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.

Arrangements are at the direction of the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.
