Geraldine M. Olinger

1930 - 2026

Geraldine M. Olinger, 95, of New Bethlehem, passed away early Monday morning, March 30, 2026, at Concordia of Cabot.

Born May 8, 1930, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Minerva Piper.

She was a member of the Decorative Painters Club in her earlier years.

She married W. Charles Olinger on March 7, 1980. They just celebrated their 46-year anniversary. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Jeff Harr and his wife, Kathy, of Latrobe and Mark Harr and his wife, Lori, of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter-in-law, Lori Harr of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Kelly (John) Aston, Michelle (Jonathan) Forte, Maeanne (Jake) Harr, Doug (Jillian) Harr, Erik (Tina) Harr, and Nick (Angela) Mizika; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Campbell of Latrobe and Thelma Overly and her husband, Don, of Youngstown; a brother, Roger Piper and his wife, Mary, of Latrobe; a sister-in-law, Shirley Piper of Latrobe; a brother-in-law, Harold Shreckengost of New Bethlehem; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence "Butch" Harr; two infant grandsons, Ryan L. Harr and Baby Boy Harr; a brother, Harold Piper; a brother-in-law, Ralph Campbell; and a sister-in-law, Marie Shreckengost.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the funeral home, with Pastor Joel Kinnard officiating.

Interment will be in the Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
