Norma Zimmerman Obituary
She was the wife of the late H. Dale Zimmerman, who died on May 2, 2018.
Born in New Bethlehem, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Mildred C. (Nulph) Shumaker. She was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren.
Norma worked in various clerical positions over her career, last working at Kutztown Area School District, before retiring in 1991.
She was a former member of Hamburg Community Concert Choir, Central Berks Lions Club and Kutztown Community Choir.
She had served as church secretary and enjoyed singing at the Kutztown Folk Festival in the Amish Pageant.
Norma loved her dogs, flower gardening and she was a tremendous seamstress.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey D. Zimmernan, husband of Margaret A. Herrick, of Penn Township.
She was predeceased by a brother, Wilbur E. Shumaker.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, located at 1542 Shoey Road in Mohrsville.
Funeral services will follow the time of visitation at 11 a.m., at the church.
Burial will follow in Viewpoint Cemetery, Centre Township.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Phoebe Berks, Second Floor of the Healthcare Center for their exemplary care shown to Norma during her time there.
Arrangements are at the direction of the Leibensperger Funeral Homes of Leesport.
