William Kinnan Obituary

William R. "Bill" Kinnan Sr., 76, of New Bethlehem, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born December 16, 1939, in Wayne Township, Armstrong County, he was the son of Clarence L. and Mary Evelyn (Stormer) Kinnan.

He married Margaret G. "Margy" Miller on December 27, 1958. She survives.

Mr. Kinnan was a lifelong resident of the area and honorably served in the U.S. Army.

He was self-employed as a truck driver from 1985 until 2001, but formerly worked as a truck driver for various companies, in the coal industry and as a farmer.

Mr. Kinnan enjoyed gardening and attending the Belknap Auction. He also owned many antique cars and loved restoring them to their former glory.

He enjoyed spending time with his best friend and buddy, Bandit.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five sons, William R. Kinnan Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Mayport, Ronald C. Kinnan and his wife, Cheryl, of Rimersburg, Thomas E. Kinnan and his wife, Kim, of Seminole, Terry G. Kinnan of New Bethlehem and Greg Talbott of Florida; a daughter, Sandra L. Troup and her husband, Buck, of New Bethlehem; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. Kinnan of Glen Campbell; and four sisters, Alice Ruffner and her husband, Clifford, of Purchase Line, Jean MacBlain and her husband, William, of Cherry Tree, Janet Constantine of Jeannette and Sally Lang of Indiana

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Fee; and a sister, Mildred "Snooky" McAdams.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m, to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home in Dayton.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the funeral home with his brother, Lay Minister Robert E. Kinnan officiating.

Interment will be in Eddyville Cemetery, New Bethlehem.
