Todd Richard Myhre, 82

Todd Richard Myhre was born in 1943 on February 26th. Todd was an artist at heart. He studied clay at the Archie Bray and pursued jewelry making as a hobby. He incorporated his unique and visionary artistic design into everything he built, from squeeze shoots to loaves of bread. He designed and built multiple outbuildings and a home for his family, each with pleasing angles and features. The home was an incredible mix of artistry and craftsmanship, including tiles he fired for the bathroom floor, and a truly remarkable staircase. Many of the materials were salvaged from buildings he tore down or from the cull pile at the mill in Pablo. The house and shop are absolutely one-of-a-kind structures. Todd and Caroline developed a piece of bare ground outside of Charlo into a functioning ranch with the help of their two boys, Thor and Grant Myhre. Todd and Caroline imparted creativity, work ethic and a wide array of skills, both practical and artistic to their sons. Todd and Caroline separated in 1989, and he attributed the separation to a period of personal growth.

Todd was born the middle child in a family affected by the disease of alcoholism. His parents were unable to model healthy ways of working through personal emotions and he struggled with shame, fear and anger for most of his life. He was desperate to connect with others but his difficulties connecting with his own emotions made him incapable of attaining loving and lasting relationships.

Todd was able to relax, reflect, and grieve during his final years. He gained an awareness of the effects his childhood had on himself and those close to him. He enjoyed loving connections with his family and more importantly his own loving spirit.

Todd passed away in his home on August 25, 2025, with loved ones at his side.
