Cynthia "Cindi" Marie Babl (Parent) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 31.
She was born December 3, 1955 in St. Paul, MN to Hallis & Florence Parent. She was the sixth out of their 10 kids, raised in Mahtomedi, MN. Sewing and baseball gave her much enjoyment. She was very talented with a needle and thread and made beautiful clothing; her custom pieces were so unique. She was also a pretty good softball player too, and loved watching baseball over the years.
She met her husband Lance through her service in the Minnesota National Guard. She served for 22 years, retiring as an E-7 Sergeant First Class, which her family was very proud of her for.
Cindi & Lance married on May 23, 1987 and together they raised their two children, Zachary and Shelby in Cleghorn, WI. She was very devoted as a wife & mother. She served as Treasurer on the PTO for Cleghorn school, where she help to plan and organize the construction crew for the Cleghorn Park playground equipment. She was a beloved long time employee of Target, where she met many wonderful friends-including her dear friend Joanie. They loved flower shopping and gardening together. She retired from Target shortly before her first grandson was born and was thrilled to become a grandma.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Lance; son Zachary Babl; daughter Shelby (Peter) Waltemath & grandsons Jace, Colt, & Kacy; mother-in-law Janice Babl, siblings Larry (Kim) Parent, Sally Mogren, Roxanne (Rob) Schlosser, Nancy Parent, Cheri Parent, Randy (Celia) Parent & Gene (Gayle) Parent; as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, May 11 starting at 11 a.m. at Cleghorn Park.
